“Hey guys, I won a cake,” said Amanda Ferrell, to her friends, sitting underneath the Eagle’s Nest annex as several cake fights began to break out. With chunks of cake flying through the air, good music, and time to fellowship, Party at the porch was an exciting event.
Friday night, in the Student Center, many students took a trip back to the 70s. The original theme of the SGA event was Peace at the pond. Due to the threat of rain, SGA decided to move the event to the Student Center where shelter would be provided.
Regardless the change of plans, students had plenty of opportunities to have fun and fellowship. They were able to tie-dye t-shirts, participate in countless cake walks and eat as much food and drink sweet tea as their stomachs could handle.
A night that was meant to be cloudy and wet turned into a fun-filled affair. The SGA’s back-to-school bash was a “success,” said SGA President Brandon Pierce.
